Incognito mode is just for private browsing. If you choose to use Incognito mode, then your web browser won’t be saving any history, cookies or passwords. But, it can be trackable. Here’s what Google says regarding Incognito mode “Pages you view in incognito tabs won’t stick around in your browser’s history, cookie store, or search history after you’ve closed all of your incognito tabs. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be kept.” Well, Mozilla Firefox also describes the same story. So, that just means that your friends, neighbors or kids can’t open up your web browser and look for your browsing history if you have browsed the internet through Incognito mode. Well, Google also tells you that Going incognito “doesn’t hide your browsing from your employer, your internet service provider, or the websites you visit.” So, your ISP can still track the sites you visit. If you are browsing in incognito and if you sign into one of Google apps or services then Google can sniff your doings. Few other browsers like Safari, Internet Explorer don’t even tell you that browsing incognito won’t stop ISPs to track you. So, if you want to remain anonymous, then you can try out VPN services or Tor. Go through our article Top 10 Best VPN For Your Windows To Browse Anonymously to find out more about VPN.
