Opinions are divided on the usefulness/success of virtual currencies, but for Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter, there is no doubt that, in less than 10 years, Bitcoins will be the only currency in the world. Opinions favourable and unfavourable to Bitcoins and Cryptotomes, in general, is what most exists. If we had already shown the opinion of the tech giant Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak about the Bitcoins, who said that they were better than Gold and the Dollar, we also reported that Woz had been mocked and lost 7 of these virtual coins. But now it’s the turn of the social networking site Twitter’s CEO to present his own opinion about bitcoin, and for Jack Dorsey, Bitcoins may even turn out to be the only currency in the world and this really should happen in 10 years or less. This view was found during an interview with The Times where Jack Dorsey, who is also CEO of Square INC, believes in the success and projection of Bitcoin worldwide, being of the opinion that all countries will use it, either virtual or physical. Jack Dorsey sees the Bitcoins to be used not only in digital transactions but also to pay for their coffee, lunch, buy materials, pay bills, etc, everything we do with the current physical money. But that possibility will not be soon, as Jack Dorsey acknowledges that Bitcoin still “lacks the capacity to become an effective currency” to make quick and easy transactions. As he said in the interview:- It is time-consuming and expensive now, but as more and more people get (Bitcoins), those problems will quickly disappear. There are technologies that are based on blockchain and that make the currency more accessible. But according to the opinion of the CEO of Twitter, the whole process could take up to less than 10 years, hence, Bitcoins can become as popular as the dollar, and may even be a “universal currency” that will overlap to others such as the Euro. “The world will finally have a single currency, the internet will have a single currency. Personally, I believe it will be Bitcoin. This may happen in more than ten years or even earlier” Jack Dorsey in an interview with The Times. So, what do you think about this?
