However, Reliance Jio has lots of competitors and one the biggest is Bharti Airtel. Reliance Jio is giving away unlimited 4G internet whereas other telecom companies are charging users. The previous year, we have seen Reliance Jio 4G speeds have totally gone down. Ookla, the company behind world’s famous Speed Test App shows that Reliance Jio internet speed is down significantly compared to how it was at the time when it was launched. Reliance Jio was dropped to the fourth position for 4G download speeds in January this year. However, Reliance Jio has once again grabbed the first spot regarding 4G speed. According to the data collected by Trai’s MySpeed app, Reliance Jio registered the average speed of 17.427 Mbps in February 2017. The second place had been grabbed by Idea which recorded the speed of 12.216. Airtel was in the third place by registering the speed of 11.245Mbps whereas Vodafone grabbed the fourth place by registering the speed of 8.337Mbps. However, Reliance Jio’s peak speed was 18.146Mbps which was recorded in December 2016. On the other hand Idea, average 4G speed was on the rise, from 5.943Mbps in December to 12.216Mbps in February. Airtel and Vodafone noticed a drop down in speed. Airtel records the speed of 11.862Mbps in December previous year, and now it registered the speed of 11.245Mbps. Similarly, Vodafone’s speed decreased from 10.301Mbps to 8.337Mbps. Regarding uploading speed, Idea grabs the first position by registering the speed of 7.497Mbps. Vodafone was in second place with the speed of 5.236Mbps, and Airtel was in the third place with the speed of 4.492Mbps and Reliance Jio at the fourth place with the speed of 2.208Mbps.
